01

Why choose Weekend Rider?

Choose us for our thrilling tours! As a small yet highly experienced motorcycle tour provider based in Sydney, Australia, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality. Our tours feature breathtaking scenic routes, top-notch motorbikes, and plenty of fun. On the day of your ride, a knowledgeable guide will accompany you throughout, showcasing the most stunning roads and sharing fascinating stories about the locations you visit along the way.

02

What's a typical day's distance?

The daily riding distances will vary based on the specific tour, ranging from 200 to 500 kilometers. For more detailed information, please refer to the individual tour descriptions. Prior to the start of each tour, we hold a briefing to discuss the route and any potential alternative paths.

03

Can I rent a motorcycle without a tour?

Yes, we offer motorcycle rentals as well as guided tours. Our guided tours are all about riding together, meeting people from around the world, and enjoying the thrill of the ride while exploring some of the most beautiful roads in the country.

If you choose a rental, you're free to self-guide and ride at your own pace.

04

What riding experience is needed?

We suggest having a minimum of 2 years of riding experience. While the experience levels of our participants can differ, we can adjust our routes to match your skill level, ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone.

05

Does the tour run with just one rider?

Absolutely! Even if no other rider sign-up for the ride you have booked, the ride is still on!

06

How much notice to book?

We generally require at least a week's notice. However, we suggest you book as early as possible to ensure availability, especially during summertime (December to February) the busiest season in Australia.

07

Do you provide riding gear?

We provide helmets, gloves and jackets free of charge to customers doing our tours. Motorcycle boots and any other protective riding equipment (if not listed) are not provided/available. Please note that you can always ship your own gear to us ahead of time. You arrive and ride with your own riding gear.

08

Can we swap bikes during the tour?

Absolutely. You only need to ask. We believe it is nice to have the opportunity to ride two different motorcycles during the day. If you are an experienced motorcyclist, we are more than happy to change bikes with you during the tour.

09

What if my bike breaks down?

Catastrophic mechanical failures are rare. We regularly maintain our motorbikes so that they are mechanically sound before and during the tour. In the unlikely case of a motorbike breakdown, we will make every attempt and use all resources at our disposal to get the bike to a service professional. In the very unlikely event that we cannot fix the bike, we will provide a replacement bike.

10

Are tours suitable for two-up?

Definitely! We have selected routes that showcase the best sights and scenery while ensuring they are not too extreme or challenging, making it easy to ride with a passenger.

11

Is a bond required?

The motorcycle and riding gear will be provided to you in excellent condition at the start of the tour. If any damage occurs during the tour a security bond of AUD$ 1,000 will be required at the end to cover the cost of repairs or damaged items. If you are a pillion (passenger) you are not required to pay.

12

Where does the tour start?

All of our tours commence in Sydney Northern Beaches. On the day of your ride, the tour guide will collect you from your hotel or residence and transport you to the location of the motorcycles. Typically, the pick-up occurs 45 to 60 minutes before the scheduled start time of the tour.

13

Can I reschedule if it rains?

Absolutely! Three days before your motorcycle tour, we will email you the weather report for your ride day. If rain is in the forecast, we can arrange an alternative date for your tour.

14

What's the cancellation policy?

We value your time, as well as our own. To honor our tour guides, we kindly request that you provide at least two (2) days' notice if you need to cancel your tour.

If you cancel two (2) days or more before the scheduled tour date, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within one (1) day will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made just hours before the tour will not be refunded.

In the event that a tour must be rescheduled due to weather conditions, and you cannot select a new date, you will receive a full refund.

15

Are Gift Vouchers refundable?

Gift Vouchers are non-refundable. All voucher purchases are final, so please choose carefully before completing your purchase. While vouchers are strict on refunds, they are fully transferable. You're welcome to gift or transfer your voucher to a friend or family member if your plans change.
